When you use QOX — as a customer, rider, or any user of our platform — we collect the following types of information:

• Account information: full name, phone number, and email address
• Profile data: date of birth, gender, preferred language, and preferred payment method
• Location data: saved delivery addresses and real-time location (for riders and order tracking)
• Order information: service type (food, grocery, parcel, ride), pickup and drop locations, items, fare, payment method, and order status
• Rider-specific data: vehicle type and number, PAN, Aadhaar, driving licence, and KYC documents submitted for verification
• Device information: push notification tokens, device ID, and platform (for app notifications)
• Communication data: in-app messages exchanged between customers, riders, and support during active orders

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the QOX platform, including:

• Creating and managing your account and profile
• Processing orders and assigning riders in real time
• Calculating and displaying fares based on distance, service type, and zone-based pricing rules
• Tracking rider location and sharing live updates with customers during active orders
• Processing payments and recording payment status (COD, UPI, card, or wallet)
• Sending push notifications and in-app alerts for order updates, status changes, and promotions
• Verifying rider KYC documents (Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence) and onboarding qualified riders
• Managing rider earnings, wallet balances, and payout processing
• Providing customer support and resolving disputes through order-linked in-app messaging
• Generating operational analytics and platform performance metrics for administrators

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With riders: your name, pickup/drop location, and contact details are shared with the assigned rider to fulfil your order
• With customers: a rider's approximate location and first name are shared during active order tracking
• With payment providers: transaction details are shared with our payment gateway to process UPI, card, or wallet payments
• With cloud and infrastructure providers: we use Supabase (PostgreSQL) for secure data storage and Auth for identity management
• With legal authorities: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the platform
• With administrators: platform admins have controlled access to order data, rider documents, and operational metrics for management purposes

We take data security seriously. QOX implements the following safeguards to protect your information:

• All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase with row-level security and encrypted connections
• Authentication is managed via Supabase Auth with secure session tokens
• Rider KYC documents (Aadhaar, PAN, licence) are stored in private cloud storage buckets with access controls
• Verification codes used during onboarding are encrypted before storage and expire after use
• All API communication occurs over HTTPS/TLS
• Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to protect your account credentials and report suspicious activity to us immediately

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention practices:

• Order history, wallet transactions, and payment records are retained indefinitely for operational and legal compliance
• Rider KYC documents are retained for the duration of the rider's active engagement with the platform
• Location logs (rider GPS records) are retained for a limited operational window and used for auditing and disputes
• Inactive accounts may be deactivated but order and financial records are retained as required by applicable law
• If you request account deletion (customer or rider profile), we mark your profile as deleted and revoke access. Core transactional records (orders, payouts) are retained for legal compliance

As a QOX user, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: update or correct inaccurate profile information through the app
• Deletion: request deletion of your customer or rider profile. Note that transactional records (orders, payments, wallet) are retained as required by law
• Opt-out: opt out of promotional communications via notification settings in the app
• Portability: request a copy of your order and account data in a structured format

QOX is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a minor has registered on our platform, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or applicable laws. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, via in-app notification or email. Continued use of QOX after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
